A record of over 40 emails were passed around in one evening trying to hammer out the details of this little surprise operation for Becca... lol hopefully it was all worth it for her, and she was honestly surprised... kind of.. hahaha

I've had the privilege of being a mentor and bigger brother to an amazing little guy for the past year or so. It's time for him to get some more qualified assistance, and so it's sad, in that I won't get to see him as regularly, but joyful in that it means he's come SUCH a long way. WOOO BTBC retreat @ Redeemer College in Ancaster. I feel like God's doing some awesome things with our church, and I can't wait to see what's coming next.

We decided we wanted to avoid the masses of Asians when they came to town the next day, so we headed out to Cambridge instead a day earlier for their concert... hehe if anything, we just wanted a smaller venue and an excuse for a roadtrip haha.

Congrats Leo & Ann, wow, it was like a blast from the past, with what it seemed like a whole bunch of old high school Christian friends that I grew up with, except..10 years later(almost)... good times :)

Kitty, Chris & myself headed to the Henry's photographic & Imaging show at the International Center. We were at the headshots booth that specialized in renting gear and they had a big reflector dish set up. We started shooting a few with my D300, and then the lady walked up and handed me a pocketwizard... sweet! Then she handed us a d3 asking if we wanted to use that.. HAHHAHA YES PLZ :) Here's the results from all three of us.

It's been a long time since I've added anything to this site, and I apologize, although I don't know how many ppl actually look forward to me uploading hahah. Here's some memories from a "family-friendly vegas trip" Woohoo.. this involved outlet shopping, Red rock canyon, Hoover Dam, A Cirque Du Soleil show (LOVE) and whatever else we could try to fit into 3 fulls days

"With Respect to Time" is Waterloo's jazz band consisting of engineers. They were in town to play at a music exchange down at UofT and Becca's friend Alli needed a photog, so I jumped at the opportunity to shoot with the Nikon AF-S 70-200VR f2.8 that I rented for the weekend... goodness this is fun. :)

Finally done, some post-processing done, cropping, sharpening, exposure, curves, blah blah..

An opportunity to see how well I could handle the low light with the Canon 20D & 24-70 f2.8 ... but first and foremost i was supposed to be there eating haha.

Mr. Dan Chen himself... was making the move to Vancouver, so here was our way of sending him off... Lots of chicken wings (courtesy of Nicole), my imitation claypot rice, Cal's mashed potatoes, Velsie's Salad, Becca's GARLIC FILLED dip, and everyone else helping to put this all together. Some taboo, and apple pie helped top things off.

I headed up to Kingston for a little mini retreat for myself. It worked out perfectly cuz Pat had those few days off, and it was Heidi's surprise week late birthday party. It was an awesome weekend.. i ended up staying from Friday all the way till Tuesday.

Five People got baptized this Christmas including an old old friend whom i've known since we were 2 or 3... and it has been a looong time coming. I wasn't the official photog.... I was relegated to my seat, and post baptism picture taking, but it was fun anyways.
The post processing involves various combinations of Curves, Exposure and Smart Sharpening in CS2

*UPdate* Added some shots with a Canon 20D & a 24-70 f2.8L ohmigoodness this lens is SHARPPPPPPPP Like bringing home a new baby... this is my new baby, Tatyana. So.. here's some pix of the new addition to the family ahha. I call it a Dan Chen custom model because he changed the tuners to gold coloured Gotoh tuners, and put in a b-band pick-up. This really is a one of a kind guitar. Thanks so much Dan!!
